Introduction course - frequently asked questions
What time should I be on site for the course?
It is important to be on site 15 minutes before the start of the course, unless otherwise stated, so that we can register your attendance and start the course on time.
How old do I have to be to take the course?
You must be at least 15 years and 9 months old to take the course.
Do I have to attend the course at the same time as my supervisor?
No, you do not. Students and supervisors do not have to take the course at the same time.
Does the supervisor need to repeat the course for each student they will be driving with?
No, they do not. An introduction course is valid for 5 years, which means that a person who is going to supervise several students does not have to repeat the course for each student during the 5-year period.
Can I cancel my course if I am unable to attend?
Yes, you can cancel your course free of charge if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the course. Cancellations can be made via your booking page or by contacting our customer service.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the introduction course?
Yes, you do. You must present a valid national ID card, Freja eID or passport at the time of the course. Without a valid ID, you cannot attend the course.
We have completed the course, what happens next?
After completing the course, we will register your attendance and send the information to the Swedish Transport Agency. They will save these in their system. In connection with the course, the supervisor must apply for their supervisor authorisation this is done at the Swedish Transport Agency. Remember!
After you and your supervisor have completed the course, the supervisor must apply for a supervisor’s license. Both the supervisors authorisation and the driving licence permit must be granted before you can start practice driving at home. Your supervisor applies for a supervisors authorisation here
